THE APPROACH

The office's activities are divided between renovation, heritage restoration, creation and intervention. The diversity of sizes, styles and specifications ranges from a chateau listed as a historical monument to the creation of a gym or apartment block, or even extensions to existing buildings. But the one constant remains the same in both new and existing projects: a sensitive approach to the context through a detailed and critical reading of the site, an understanding of the issues and requirements of the various parties involved, a willingness to adapt to the existing situation, attention to detail and modesty in the intervention.

We're also interested in the relationship between history and modernity, between what's already there and what's contemporary, not antagonism but complementarity. The existing carries within it the signs from which the new architectural project can be undertaken.

THE OFFICE

Jean-Luc Frigerio and Anne Dupraz are in charge of the operational management of the office, with the support of Danilo Mondada, who remains in charge of certain mandates and brings his experience to the office.

Founded in 1979 by Danilo Mondada, the firm changed its name in 2012 to Mondada Frigerio Blanc Architectes. In 2015, Anne Dupraz joined the office. In 2017, following the departure of Thierry Blanc, an update of the name affirms the new structure: the office becomes Mondada Frigerio Dupraz Architectes.

The scale of the office is on a human scale, making it possible to share the knowledge and skills of each collaborator, with teamwork and via active interaction with our clients (private, institutional or public) and the specialists brought in to contribute to the success of a project.

The work and monitoring of projects mean that we are present from the beginning to the end of each stage, ensuring continuity from the first studies to the final phases of execution.
