Moretti Indro (Muralto)

Indro Moretti (dipl. Architetto EAUG - SIA - OTIA) (Locarno, 1967) carried out his studies at the Ecole d'Architecture of the University of Geneva, where he delved into topics such as conservative restoration and urban planning. His dissertation was on an urban planning and architecture project in Locarno. After finishing his studies, he began his activity in Muralto in 1994 as an independent architect. From 1994 to 2010 he was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Raiffeisen Bank of Minusio-Muralto-Brione s / Minusio, while at the political level he spent 8 years in the City Council of Muralto. In the early years of his professional activity he devoted himself to small restoration projects, furniture design, design of a newsstand and participated in a number of competitions. From 1997 to 2001 he designed several primary residences, the Regional Labor Office in Locarno, and the transformation of a 19th-century building into a hotel. Between 2002 and 2013, in addition to the construction of several single-family and townhouses, he built several apartment buildings from scratch, renovated hotels, and worked on various projects, some of which were under construction. He also collaborated with architect Guido Tallone on the drafting of the Urban Plan of Muralto between the years 1998 - 2003. His training ranges from 'design to urban planning, from ex-novo architectural design to building renovation, from construction management to drafting expert estimates. All of this always following a coherence of thought that is expressed, aesthetically, in the predilection for pure lines, regular geometries, order and simplicity of compositional schemes; formally, in the use of natural materials combined with technological mediations, but always respecting the place in which one operates and the needs of the client.
