Francis Buzzi

Architect dipl. eth.z. fas sia otia

Born in 1966, he works as a freelance architect in Locarno. After a stay in the United States he completes his studies at theETH in Zurich in 1993. In 1989 after a period of practice with Livio Vacchini he makes a study trip to Japan that flows into an academic research on Kazuo Shinohara. From 1995 to 2010 he worked in Locarno in the

In 2010 lETH dedicates a retrospective to the studio's work in Zurich. The exhibition continues in Eindhoven (2011) and Paris (2012). In 2011 he founded buzzi studio of architecture.

He is currently building a multi-family building on the Locarno lakefront, a residential, administrative and commercial complex in Solduno, and a renewable energy plant in Losone.

He has collaborated at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio with Professors Caruso St.John and Jonathan Sergison and published several critical essays in national and international architectural journals.
