Atelier traces architectures (Les Acacias)

Atelier_Traces Architectures was founded in 1997 by Valérie Gleiber and Philippe Ramseier. The diverse backgrounds of its partners enable it to offer a wide range of services in the fields of architecture and urban planning.

From the outset, the studio has taken a keen interest in enhancing the relationship between objects and their context. Regularly called upon to work on heritage objects and public programs, our approach explores the urban, historical and social context in order to develop opportunities for a qualitative, measured and rational response that finds its sensibility in a sustainable truth.

In all these areas of activity and expertise, the studio is regularly commissioned by public authorities (Ville de Genève, Etat de Genève, Ville de Meyrin, Ville de Carouge, etc.). Over the years of repeated collaboration, we have developed a relationship of trust with these entities, built on the quality and precision of our work, as well as our knowledge of the requirements linked in particular to public procurement contracts.

Aware of the importance of passing on knowledge to future generations, the two partners have been involved for over 15 years in teaching both the practical and theoretical aspects of architectural design and construction. The questioning and reflective approach implicit in these fields nourishes our own work within the studio, developing our capacity for collaboration and the formation of a critical eye on our own production.
