Studio Noël Fäh (Zürich)

Studio Noël Fäh is a young architectural practice working in the fields of architecture, urban planning and design. Architecture is understood as a multi-layered task that requires rational analysis, open experimentation and dialog with all those involved. From the initial concept idea to the final realization, the studio accompanies the entire design and construction process as a planner and mediator.

For conversions and new builds, the aim is to think beyond the context and existing structures and to create powerful, atmospheric spaces through overlays. The focus is on close collaboration with experienced craftsmen in order to integrate innovative material solutions and sophisticated details right from the start.

Each intervention is part of an ongoing building history that enriches the site with new layers. Ecological and social issues play a key role in the design and planning process in order to realize sustainable and future-oriented projects. Re-use, circularity, sustainable choice of materials and inclusive construction are central themes that are actively incorporated into the projects.

The field of activity includes direct commissions, competitions as well as in-house research and project studies. The synergies of collective collaboration play a central role here. Studio Noël Fäh works on a project-by-project basis in various working groups.

Noël Fäh studied architecture at ETH Zurich and at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in Cambridge, USA. He has worked for Herzog & de Meuron, Studio Olafur Eliasson, FAR frohn&rojas and neo.studio. In 2023, he founded Studio Noël Fäh in Zurich and has worked as an independent architect ever since.
