It seems obvious to us that we need to integrate these new constraints into our thinking, through notions of global planning, density, landscape protection, sustainable development and a real consideration of the socio-economic vocation of territorial planning.

Closer to home, the evolution of communication systems and the growth of marketing or "branding" elements imply an almost pictorial use of architecture as a brand support. image becomes a notion that gives contemporary architecture a real role as a communication tool.

Whether it's a new district, a new building or a new use, each project must provide a coherent response between the constituent elements of the site (past, present and future) and the future use of the space in question.
