office haratori (Zürich)

In 2004 Office Haratori was founded as an architectural office in Zurich and since 2016 it is jointly managed by Mercè Portell and Zeno Vogel. Office Haratori has always moved with projects along two main axes: on the one hand live, the transformation of urban / open space to the other. Life is expressed in the smallest (a bedroom in the old tower house, the transformation of a hayloft into an alpine loft in Mathon (Prix Lignum 18)), but also in larger projects (270 apartments in the open warehouse in Zurich, the facade) of the Zölly residential tower Zurich West (Hare in Silver 2014, Concrete Prize 17) or the 14-story student housing tower in Eindhoven NL). Urban studies are continuously carried out throughout Switzerland in specific studies, test plans and design plans. With the design of the entrance to the Park Hyatt Zurich (Zeno Vogel, co-author of the entire hotel complex) or the flagship store of Bucherer jeweler in Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich, Office haratori dealt with challenging and prestigious urban projects. Office haratori has been working closely with the office winhov from Amsterdam since 2007 - for example on some of the projects mentioned - in friendship and investigates the relevance of the respective experiences, the perspective of the foreign in different contexts.
