Müller & Truniger Architekten (Zürich)

Müller & Truniger Architects was founded in 1994 by Andreas E. Müller and Daniel Truniger shortly after completing their architectural studies at the ETH. The starting signal came when they won the community center competition in Jona, which is now a listed building. Even during their studies, the two often worked together and, after completing their diploma, assisted together for one or one and a half years at the chair of Rudolf Manz on the subject of "Spatial Recording and Spatial Representation with Video".

M & T likes to deal with a wide variety of building tasks and their requirements. We look for a suitable structural expression that is tailored to the needs of the user and the particular location. It is about creating added value for users and sites. In addition to the function that the project must fulfill, the cultural and local background is often a source of inspiration. Whether it is the pursuit of a minimal ecological footprint or the question of maximum flexibility in the use of a project, sustainability aspects in the ecological, economic and social sense play an essential role in the design process and are perceived as enriching the task.
