Lasser d'Intérieur, two generations, june 1st 1929 - june 1st 2009 80 years ago, Rodolphe Joseph Lasser founded his cabinetmaking business, which is the origin of the d' d'intérieur office, opened in 1960 by his son, Rodolphe Pierre Lasser. At the heart of every great business is an exceptional personality. Lasser d'Intérieur is no exception with its founder, Rodolphe Joseph Lasser. His life, from 1900 to 1989, spanned the wonderfully inventive 20th century, punctuated by two wars and a major crisis. R. J. Lasser's beginnings were difficult. His mother Anna Lasser-Wenger, who had just lost her husband, began making the famous St. Gallen embroideries to support her son. During the First World War, as a Swiss abroad, he worked at the Maybach factory in Friedrichshafen, on the German shore of Lake Constance. There, he made wooden molds for engines and weapons. With the end of hostilities, R. J. Lasser felt the need to perfect his skills.
