Waldrap (Zürich)

WALDRAP is a collaboration between Renate Walter and Sebastian F. Lippok. Their work is understood as an investigation of contemporary living conditions that manipulate the relationship between program and context in their complexity and contradiction as never before. With their work, WALDRAP attempts to bring this tense relationship into a stable, outwardly resistant, but also discursively beautiful state. In their eyes, there is no ideal aesthetic per se. Rather, the attempt to create beauty has a social aspect, in the context of which the interacting person stands.

Their work is understood as an interpretation under the circumstances of today's world, which manifests itself as never before with all its complexity and contradiction, its relationship between program and context. WALDRAP tries to bring these tense relationships into a stable, resistant, but also beautiful state. From their point of view, no ideal aesthetic exists itself. For them, the attempt to bring forth beauty is rather a social aspect in the context of the interacting human being.
