Preamble In December 2006, after many years of independent activity as architects, Heidy Maya Krumm, Pierre Hogge and François Vernet jointly founded "Vernet Hogge Architects SA" in order to put at the disposal of all clients their competences and above all their complementarities. This formula offers great flexibility and can be transformed into a multidisciplinary team or even extended to the whole of Switzerland, depending on the situation, thanks to a network developed by each of the four members of the "core". Architectural approach To reduce architecture to a definition is to run the risk of freezing an idea and making it a dogma. Nevertheless, we believe that defining all kinds of constraints together with the client is fundamental to our approach; it is the driving force behind it. The role of the project as a polymorphic process will be to "digest" these constraints so that they no longer appear in the finished work. Beyond this ambitious but verifiable goal, a certain form of poetry emerges from this or that constructed object that seems to elude its designer. Are we approaching a definition of architecture? The question remains open... Development and structure of Vernet Hogge Architects SA Since the creation of our architectural office in the spring of 2008, the structure has evolved with the addition of a new partner in the person of Frediano Lazzarotto. Then, at the end of 2009, Maya Krumm withdrew from the company and continued to work independently with VHA. Today, the workshop consists of four associated architects (Gaëlle Chou, Frediano Lazzarotto, Pierre Hogge and François Vernet), an administrative and accounting manager (Anne Kunz), a draftswoman (Melissa Scalisi) and an apprentice draftsman (Alexei Giovanelli). The whole forms a group of 8 people.
