André Schmid - about us Schmid Partner Architects For many of us, childhood memories are associated with certain smells. In André Schmid's case, it is the scent of freshly planed wood spreading down the street from the nearby carpentry shop.

But first he was interested in mathematics and geometry, subjects he pursued enthusiastically and successfully at school. Therefore, training as a draftsman was an obvious step, which was consistently pursued in the course at the Technikum Winterthur with a focus on architecture.

After various successes in architectural competitions, it was time to establish his own office. Large projects in the construction of wooden elements were not long in coming, and so the Chrummen dressing room was built in Freienbach, where the Swiss national team still prepares for international matches.

André Schmid has been building mainly wooden element constructions for 20 years in close cooperation with the most innovative timber constructor in Switzerland, Renggli AG.

With a passion for building and an eye for modern aesthetics, his current focus is on jointly developing the best solution - always measured against the wishes, needs and possibilities of his customers.
