MMXVI GmbH (Biel/Bienne)

MMXVI was founded in 2016 by Oliver Dubuis, Edward Jewitt and Sandro Gämperle. Since their joint studies at ETH Zurich, the three partners have been concerned with the conceptual beauty of architecture and the search for their own terrain in the architectural landscape. The outlines of their approach emerge from their ongoing engagement with the current challenges of the profession: the attractiveness of a building project lies neither in its size nor in its program. Rather, the focus is on the potential inherent in the character of each task. Precise architectural means make this tangible and concrete, thus continuing the spatial and social development of the site. This conception of architecture manifests itself not in formal features, but in a pervasive way of working and thinking. This allows for a more in-depth and unbiased treatment of the task.
