The architectural office Guido Kummer + Partner was founded in Solothurn in 1994. On average, between five and seven employees work in our team. Our primary tasks include private commissions as well as public building projects - from single-family homes to medical practices and banks to housing estates and school buildings. In addition to new buildings, the office has tackled complex, historic buildings in various projects, converting and renovating them for new programs through targeted interventions. The original character of a building is given essential attention - newly added and old existing should merge into an expressive whole. Our office regularly takes part in architectural competitions, from which we have been able to achieve and realize numerous successes. In addition to these core tasks, our competencies include trade fair constructions and concept planning, construction analyses and profitability calculations. We see the examination of the concrete building task, the wishes of the client and the conditions of the location as the core of our architectural work. They form the basis for an architecture that is able to create qualitative value in a clear language. Our works have been awarded several times: Among others, the award for good building in the canton of Solothurn, the wood award of the canton of Solothurn and the recognition for exemplary building in the old town.
