Groenlandbasel (Basel)

We work in the fields of architecture and scenography. Our architectural projects range from new buildings in contemporary timber construction to conversions and renovations - including in listed existing buildings - to lightweight structures for temporary purposes. Our scenographic work includes the development of exhibition projects and museum concepts. The focus is on the handling of space and content. We translate abstract information and complex themes into atmospheric spaces and sensual experiences. We develop concepts that explore the potential of the exhibition as a medium, directing and writing scripts for exhibitions and media installations. In our interdisciplinary team we offer comprehensive skills in development and design, project management and overall planning. Groenlandbasel Architecture and Exhibitions was founded in 2002 by Matthias Schnegg. Since 2014/2018 he leads the office together with partners Teresa Aktepe, Florian Niklaus and Bernhard Schweizer.
