How do young architects and artists get to work today? The Architekturforum Bern addressed this question in its "Showcase 2017" event. The Gaswerk in Bern served as the basis for not only reflecting on contemporary approaches to architectural practice, but also trying them out in a kind of self-test planning. Aline D 'Auria traced the whole thing in a video. Our post, "Logbook," traces the showcase project in the form of a text-bri collage with sound. Dialogues, mini-features, Duden entries, literary quotations and newspaper reports could be heard at four points on the website, partly chronologically, partly associatively. The "logbook" presents the unimaginable: driftwood, wrecks, sediments, sewage. Here it is best heard (again).

How do today's young architects and artists get to work? The Bern Architecture Forum went into the matter as part of the "Schaufenster 2017" (= showcase) event. The Gaswerk site served as a basis not only for thinking about contemporary approaches to architectural practice, but also for testing them in a kind of self-test planning. Aline D'Auria composed a video of the event. Our contribution, "Logbuch" (= Logbook), shows the showcase project in the form of an audio-text bricolage. Four locations on the site were equipped with loudspeakers that broadcast dialogues, mini-features, dictionary entries, literary quotations and newspaper articles, some chronic, some associative.
