Atelier Pluriel (Coppet)

ATELIER PLURIEL has been based in the village center of Coppet, Switzerland, since 1984.

At that time, Messrs Rességuier and Zbinden decided to establish a branch of their Versoix office in the canton of Vaud. From 3 people at the outset, the workforce grew to 8 during the 1980s.

In 1987, the Coppet office became independent and was renamed ATELIER PLURIEL, because of the variety of architecture it offers. It became a limited company in 1991.

Between 1989 and 1999, the crisis in the construction market reduced the studio's workforce to 4. In the early 2000s, the workforce increased to 6, stabilizing at 8-9.

ATELIER PLURIEL's main area of activity is housing, but it has also developed projects for small buildings, a rural estate, a craftsman's building and other constructions.

The majority of our projects and achievements have been in the existing built environment: extensions, elevations. Most of the time, the mandates carried out are complete, from the preliminary project to the closing of accounts, including building permits, construction documents, tenders and coordination of work.

As sustainable development is one of our key concerns, we give priority wherever possible to high levels of insulation, energy savings and renewable energies.

Building daylighting is another of our key concerns, and we strive wherever possible to ensure that all above-ground levels can be used during the day without the need for electric lighting.
