Atelier d'architecture m is first and foremost a partnership between olivier grossniklaus and eric labansine. Their partnership began in 1996, when they studied architecture at the hes de bienne. For around ten years, they worked together in various Swiss architectural offices, as project managers and directors, before reuniting in 2009. Together, they acquired a wide range of experience in the fields of competitions, design, planning and realization of architectural projects. In 2012, they founded the architectural studio m. m for house. It's the first built environment with which every individual is confronted. The references and images we have of our childhood home are strong and mixed with memories. The letter m evokes a building made up of two spaces. Atelier m strives for an architecture in tune with the context of the site, and a sensitive and emotional articulation of volumes, light, materials and textures. Areas of expertise include the creation of new buildings, the restoration, conversion and maintenance of existing buildings, and the creation and design of furniture. Our services cover all phases of the project, from study to completion. The design process integrates economy, aesthetics, quality, ecology and sustainable development.
