Atelier 78 Sàrl (Châtel-St-Denis)

L'Atelier 78 was founded by Martial Kupferschmid in 1978. 1998 saw the arrival of his son Fabien, followed by that of his wife Sandra in 2010. Graduates of the Fribourg architectural school in 1998, the 2 architects continue Martial's impetus, as well as the office's architectural and constructive tradition. From then on, they have adopted a resolutely contemporary language. From its beginnings in the attic of the XIII Cantons, the company has finally established itself in the former Crédit Suisse premises on Grand-Rue 39 in Châtel-St-Denis. L'Atelier 78 has returned to its original vocation of being close to the people by having a street-front location. Green, the color emblematic of the company's creation, is now used in a variety of ways. From the future website, currently being updated (to be ready by September 2011), to the short presentation film and corporate logo, the office is revealing its current trend. The current staff of 5 will be increased in the near future, in order to guarantee the careful follow-up of projects and their execution according to the rules of art and architecture...

With almost 500 projects to its credit, ranging from the renovation of farmhouses and old buildings to contemporary villas, multi-family housing and industry, the office now offers new skills in interior design and decoration. The creation of made-to-measure furnishings, the choice of materials and the personal accompaniment of its customers in their aesthetic decisions become a real framework, a real plus. The mastery of high-performance computer tools and the wealth of experience of each member of the team give Atelier 78 sàrl the skills needed to create high-quality objects.
