a2 Architekten (Herisau)

a2 architekten ag are a team of two independent architects who have been sharing their knowledge in their work for 20 years.

Both architects have experience in all sectors and phases of construction projects and work on them respectively from the first sketches of the preliminary project to the handover of the keys.

We generally do not understand architecture in isolation, but always in the context of existing structures and their surroundings.

Architecture is therefore not only defined by spatial program, regulations and costs, but to the same extent by the context. Accordingly, our work is not only concerned with ideas and concepts, but is consistently carried through to the details and implemented on the building.

That is why, for us, ideas and planning are only the first part of the craft. With the same diligence we follow the implementation of the construction tasks via tenders, contract/cost management up to the local construction management. Thus the quality of the work is determined and controlled.

Accordingly, we spend energy on this part of the work. All our experience of 30 years each as planning and executing architects flows into the projects.

Since September 2018, the a2 architects have been working as a AG in the joint office in Herisau and are supported by a permanently employed structural draftswoman. For the processing of the building physics aspects, a specialist works part-time.

In addition, a2 architekten ag has a network of partners with whom they collaborate on a project-specific basis.
