Patrick Roost Planung Architektur was founded in 2007 as a sole proprietorship by Patrick Roost and converted into a limited liability company in 2010. Since then, the company has worked on a wide range of projects, from small private commissions to residential and infrastructure buildings, as well as the renovation and expansion of listed historic buildings and large-scale development and master plans. In addition to construction, the processing of competitions and study commissions is a central component of the office.

Patrick Roost graduated from the ETH Zurich in 2001 under Prof. Hans Kollhoff. He gained practical experience through internships and work in various renowned offices in German-speaking Switzerland, including Fickert & Knapkiewicz and Christ & Gantenbein. In 2002-2003 he worked at Cecil Pierce & Assoc. Architects in York. Since 2011, he has been a guest critic at ETH Zurich on several occasions. Patrick Roost is married and father of two children.
