Dominique Zanghi was born in 1957. A Swiss national, he is married with two children. He began his studies in 1978, obtaining a CFC in building design. In 1984, he completed his studies at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where from 1990 to 1992 he was assistant to professors C. Gilot and A. Anselmi for courses, workshops and architectural projects. Anselmi for courses, workshops and architectural projects. He then spent almost six years (1993-1999) as a lecturer at the ITHA with Professors B.Marchand and J.Lucan.

Since 1986, Dominique Zanghi has been active as a freelancer, alongside other projects such as the creation of the AERA studio (1986-1999) in collaboration with architects Philippe Vasey and Claude Ciani. From 1999 to 2005, he was also deputy director of the Vaud Cantonal Planning Department.

From 1999 to the present day, he has joined forces with architect Athanase Spitsas to create the "AS.DZ. Architecture SA".

In 2016, he opened his new architectural office DZ Architectes SA.

Member of Société Suisse des Ingénieurs et des Architectes (SIA) section Genevoise. Member of the Geneva Section Committee from 1991 to 1999 and of the Architects' Group Committee from 1988 to 1997. Chairman of the competition commission from 1991 to 1992. Member of the Communications Commission from 1997 to 1999. Member of the Geneva Federation of Architects and Engineers (FAI). Chairman of the Urban Planning Commission. Member of the Swiss Register of Architects and Engineers (REG A). Registered as a professionally qualified mandatary in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud.
