BW Architekten AG (Kirchberg BE)

2010 Aefliger architect Heinz Jeger was looking for a successor due to his upcoming retirement and found exactly the right partner in BW Architekten AG. In 2015, the team of Mühlemann Architekten AG was integrated after the sudden death of the owner. Since January 1, 2016, they have all been working together at Schulweg 7 in Kirchberg.

Two succession plans with added value This change was hardly noticeable for the clients of the three architecture firms. The daily practice has also remained the same for the employees. However, the office community has become more agile thanks to the reduction to one management and one administration - and above all, the merger has created a team that covers a very broad spectrum of expertise and has the resources required for assignments of all sizes and complexities .

Competent in all areas of construction The offer includes new buildings, conversions and renovations, as well as the modernization of energy supply. The team now also offers GEAK advice for homeowners (see box). In addition, the competencies for the complete renovation of kitchens and bathrooms in apartment buildings as well as the catering and hotel business have been expanded.

The team led by Managing Director André Baumann is an experienced partner in all phases of construction - from consulting and planning to construction management and customer representation. The architecture is individually tailored to the situation and the wishes of the customer and each project is developed in close cooperation with the customer, the authorities and craftsmen. At home in Kirchberg, the three architectural firms jointly manage projects in the region, the cantons of Bern and Solothurn, as well as in the rest of Switzerland and abroad.
