widmann architectes sàrl (Genève)

Widmann architectes was founded in 2005 by Marc Widmann and was co-directed by Kristina Sylla Widmann from 2007. Continuing this collaboration, they joined forces to create widmann architectes sàrl in 2014, then Sylla Widmann Architectes SA in 2019.

The office develops public and private projects from preliminary design to completion. It regularly takes part in competitions. In its practice, it attaches great importance to the notion of project. The working method developed in the office is pragmatic research based on exhaustive, concrete productions using multiple modes of representation. The project is conceived as a complex, evolving process involving numerous participants in all its phases and dimensions. From the genius of the site to the technical and constructive reality, all tasks must be carried out in parallel, so as to maintain the coherence of the project from start to finish. Since architecture is by definition a collective act, we take care to set up collaborative processes not only within our office and with our professional partners, but also with the client and users. The aim is to unite people around the project, its qualities and possibilities, and to bring it to fruition.
